Lauren Appleby is a highly respected registered clinical psychologist with 15 years
of practice experience in both Counselling
and Clinical Assessment. As Kells clinical manager, she supervises the clinical practice of Kells Registered Psychologists, and oversees supervision of graduate students, interns, and Provisionally Reg. Psychologists.
As of 2024, Ms. Appleby has completed or supervised over 1700 assessments. Ms. Appleby’s practice focus is specialized psychometric assessments in the areas of: disability and injury, vocational, learning function, parenting capacity, and Practice Note 7’s Assessments.

Ms. Appleby has been registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) to practice psychology in Alberta since 2010. Ms. Appleby is qualified as an Expert Witness in the provincial court of Alberta to provide expert witness testimony in the areas of parenting and assessment. Ms. Appleby is a member in good standing with CAP and the Psychologists Association of Alberta, and is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Ms. Appleby has extensive experience working with diverse populations, and Indigenous peoples in both assessment and counselling settings. Ms. Appleby has worked with the Delegated First Nations Agencies (DFNA) since 2008. She has educational training in multicultural assessment and counselling practices and has demonstrated cultural competency in assessing and counselling Indigenous clientele.
